Cultural relics experts found a cavity within the belly of a thousand-hand Guanyin statue which is currently under restoration. Inscriptions on stone bricks and broken pieces of gold leaves and pottery ware were found within the cavity. The inscription, with red characters on both sides of the brick, was the first ever dated inscription found within a thousand-hand Guanyin statue.
